(no subject)
2007-Jan-24, Wednesday 17:09* I wrote up one way of handling conditional sentences. "If" is translated by osga, "unless" or "if not" by osse and "then" by os, which is also the word for inclusive or. I may change these. Contrary-to-fact conditions and conclusions use the contrafactual mood, with aspect being substituted for tense (retrospective for past, prospective for future, and either progressive or simple present for present). So far this is the only use for the contrafactual mood I've come up with. Actual conditions and conclusions use the indicative mood and have a full set of tenses. An imperative or jussive subjunctive can be used for an actual conclusion and for either type, the conclusion can be a question.
