2007-Oct-26, Friday 01:41I didn't get anything significant done today either, although I woke up a half hour earlier than yesterday. I was jittery and pacing most of the day. I still had time to go to the library, since it's open til 2100 on Thursdays, but I didn't want to have to wait downtown for the bus coming back. I spent some time thinking up some comments about religion and related matters, but there was no discussion to attach them to, and remembering the thoughts long enough to record them is not as easy as thinking them in the first place.
I did upload a photo to OkCupid. I called a friend to see if he could take my picture (I had sent him an email, but he mistook it for spam). His digital camera and phone were both broken, but he had a couple old pictures with me in them, so he cropped them and emailed them to me. I uploaded one, hoping that it's recent enough to satisfy the requirements and modified my profile: I replaced the description of my appearance with an explanation of how my current appearance differs from the photo.
Lately, I find myself compulsively humming certain tunes and/or have them running through my head. These include:
* pieces of some medieval cantus firmus with embellishments in 2-part harmony
* a section of Haydn's symphony # 60, not necessarily correct, also in 2 parts
* the tune from "Gott erhalte Fritz der Kater"
