* If you've thought about using google documents for anything, forget about it.
I spent hours trying to convert an HTML file to a PDF. Theoretically, all you have to do is upload the HTML file, go to the edit page, and then save it back as a PDF. However, each step takes several minutes because google documents is extremely slow, loading each page multiple times (like gmail). Also, downloading doesn't always work the first time. And then, the PDF turns out to be horrible, because the CSS is ignored completely. In fact, it gets stripped off when the file is uploaded. You can manually copy it from the original file and paste it into the edit CSS window, but it has no effect on the PDF. So you have to completely redo the file.
I also looked into the spreadsheet section to see if it could be used for my vocabulary files. It would be nice to have a single file that could be used to generate both the Naisek-to-English and English-to-Naisek files, and do some other things, like count the words (some people have said they use spreadsheets for these). There was no indication that any of this could be done.
Now for the worst part: the autosave. It does this at least four times a minute and it takes about ten seconds each time, during which nothing can be done (the cursor doesn't even blink). This means that what would be a few minutes work offline takes an hour, so there's no point at all to using the edit feature.
