New Project Umlaut Table

This table is used in deriving the appearance of stem vowels before suffixes and also changes to prefix vowels. It has already been applied to the tables of suffixes. The row labels give the original vowel and the column labels give the original following vowel.
(1) use the Y-form of the preceding consonant
(2) use the W-form of the preceding consonant
Notice that following e and o don't cause umlaut.
Umlaut doesn't occur if more than one consonant intervenes.
