LJ Oddities

Strange. Some entries from blurrygauze's journal which I can read there are not showing up on my friends page. I guess this is related to the recent upgrades and other problems (like people not being able to update, but that could just be a temporary server problem)??? And while I'm on that subject, I liked the old post comment and update journal pages better. The new post comment page has a script error.

Argh. I get that fairly often, actually. Sometimes my own entries won't show up in my friends list--which is irritating, because that's how I "mark" LJ (hit my own entry and I know I can stop reading).

Also, though, "backdated" entries won't generally show up in a friends list. Doesn't matter if you backdate it 2 minutes or 2 days, LJ just doesn't seem to know how to cope. Or maybe isn't meant to. I don't know.

There's an entry that was dated several days ahead to keep it on top that does show up -- but apparently in sequence with when it was originally posted, so I had to look for it. But there are other entries that don't show at all, and are AFAICT using normal date marks. I think if I ever figure it all out, LJ will "upgrade" and change everything!
